Help! I’m location trapped…….Oh, wait, never mind.
Okay, maybe I’m being a little over-dramatic,
but this month’s been a bit strange. We had planned on “camping” for the next six months here in San Antonio, TX between two military bases so my husband could attend some of his classes. And I have to admit, I was a little panicked about being stuck in one location. I’ve gotten used to moving around and having my beautiful lakes to play at, so I wasn’t sure how I’d handle being trapped around so many people for soooo long. But…
How’s the old saying go? Oh, ya, “be careful what you wish for”. Just two days before we were supposed to move to the second base, our spot fell through. Now I was really panicked. We hadn’t set up a plan B, which is odd for me because I normally have a plan A, B, C…you get the point. But this time we failed. And this failure resulted in us having nowhere to park our camper for the next five months. Yikes!
But thankfully, after two days and many phone calls, we got it all worked out. Now instead of being location trapped we are set up to move a total of four times: three different lakes and then back to the Naval Base in Corpus Christi, TX. We sure do love that place.
So the moral of this story…always have a plan B. Oh, and be flexible. Life loves to throw curve balls at us no matter how we decide to live—big or small. And enjoy the ride, you never know when it may be your last.
Wow. That got deep all of a sudden. Let’s move on. 🙂 The picture above is how I felt. The picture below is how I feel now. I hope you enjoy them. They were taken at the amazing San Antonio Zoo by our very talented son.
Enjoy your week everyone. Watch out for those curve balls!
Lisa 🙂
