Some neighbors are better than others.
Hello, everyone!
I hope you all are enjoying the cooler weather. Myself, I like the heat, but as I mentioned in my last post, I love this time of year, so I’ll deal with the colder temps. But not snow. You all can keep the snow.
First, some travel news. We had a wonderful time in Branson, Missouri. It’s a great place to visit if you ever get the chance. We highly recommend it. But our second stop in Missouri was not as fun. The national park we booked in Van Buren had so many gnats, we couldn’t leave the camper without protection. I think I had a hundred of them fly into my mouth and an equal amount shoot up my nose in the time it took for me to help my husband park and for us to snatch the net out of the camper. It was insane!
(Don’t I look gorgeous in my protective gear?)
Needless to say, we only stayed one night instead of the full week we had planned. (The fact there was no water, no sewer, no Wi-Fi, almost no cell service, and tiny camping spots helped cement our decision.)
Oh, the joys of traveling! But we still wouldn’t have it any other way. We are now at a beautiful Naval Base in Tennessee for the rest of Oct. (Well, almost. We’ll be staying at an Air Force Base on the other side of Tennessee for the last week.) And we couldn’t be happier. The neighbors we have at this current location are so much better than the gnatty neighbors we left.
(These neighbors are a lot less intrusive!)
Next, some book news. I’ll be sending book 2 in my Before Series to both my editors for the final run-through on Monday. I can’t wait to share this book with you all. I’ll keep you posted.
Last, some other news. I’m switching the way I send emails, so if you suddenly stop receiving my posts, please notify me through this email, my website, or my Facebook Page. I would hate to lose any of you. And as of last week, I stopped posting on Instagram. The engagement is just not there anymore. But I still actively post on my Author Facebook Page, so if you’d like to see more pictures click here.
Thanks for following my adventures! I hope you all have a wonderful October. Until next time.
Lisa
