Beauty In A Sometimes Ugly World
Hi, Everyone! I hope you all are okay.
Since this year has been tough for a lot of you, I wanted to send you some beauty and cuteness. The FamCamp here at Nellis AFB does a fantastic job with their landscaping. It’s like our own personal oasis, which has already exploded this spring. And because they keep it watered and maintained so well, we have our own Jurassic Park here too.
We get all kinds of birds in our front yard, doing silly bird things. And many of them love to drink from our Hummingbird feeder, which cracks us up because the larger birds have to be real creative on how to suck the sugar water out of the sides. The Hummingbirds don’t find it as amusing as we do, though. Some will chase the bigger birds away. While others will sit on one of the tree’s branches and pout until the bigger birds are done. It’s a hoot to watch. And speaking of hoot, we also have a burrowing owl who lives close by. The picture is blurry, but it’s still really cute.
We also get bunny rabbits, giant black bees—and I mean gigantic black, fuzzy bees—and my personal favorite, lots and lots of lizards. And big ones to boot!
And on our nightly walks, we get to enjoy the other RVer’s dogs and cats. Although, I don’t have any pictures of them. For some reason people find it creepy when you take pictures of their animals. Weird, huh?
I hope you like the pictures and that they bring a smile to your face!
Much love,
Lisa
P.S. I’ll be sending out an update on my writing soon.
