Goodbye buffets, sparkly lights, and Thunderbirds. Hello… ?
Arizona!
So our time in Vegas has ended, and we’re sad to leave the Thunderbirds, but we’re super excited to be heading back to Arizona. This time we will stay two months between three state parks and one Air Force Base. This will give us a better feel for the state, which is important because Arizona is on our list of states to “location lock” in if we get to where we can’t travel anymore—or don’t want to. We have found that we prefer dry heat over humid heat, but must be sea level, regardless. We both have a new love affair with oxygen—as in, we love having it!
Now during this stay, and the whole year, I (Lisa) will focus on three goals I picked for 2019. Yes, I’m one of those crazy people who set New Year’s resolutions. And yes, I keep them. Which is probably why I love setting them. Here they are:
#1: Don’t waste time. Every minute of life is precious, I don’t want to do needless, wasteful things with my time.
#2: Live intentionally. I tend to be a planner so I don’t always stop and smell the roses. This year I want to slow down and actually enjoy what I’m doing.
#3: Continue to live small. I love not having a bunch of unnecessary things, and I love leaving a small footprint on the earth. I do this for my health, and for the health of the planet. No, I’m not hugging any trees—there are too many bugs on them. 😉 But I am enjoying the fact we still have trees and lakes and flowers to benefit from, so I’m doing my part to keep them around. I also love seeing all the amazing creatures that call them home. 🙂
So there are my goals for the year. I’m enthusiastic about keeping them. I would also love to hear what you, my lovely readers, are doing for 2019. Do you make resolutions? Do you keep them? Do you have any big plans? Big changes? Any of you ready to join us on the road yet?
As you can see, I’m fishing for interaction here. I’d love to hear from you guys!
But until then, have a wonderful rest of your winter. Hopefully, the weather isn’t too bad in your neck of the woods.
Lisa
