I survived! Barely… but I survived!
What did I survive?
An entire week with our stocky, six-foot tall son (pictured above) in our tiny camper along with an entire week exploring Las Vegas with him… as in the crazy strip and all the crazies that frequent it. And for someone who doesn’t drink, smoke, gamble, or like being in “people soup”—I’m more of an open spaces or military bases kind of gal—this was an impressive undertaking. But I must admit, it was fun.
Our son likes to look at everything, and I mean everything, especially if it has to do with history. Because of this, we went through every hotel and shop we could fit into the week. And attended the Tournament of Kings. Our son also likes to pose with statues and cool structures, something he’s done since he was little, so that made it entertaining as well. If you’d like to see these pictures and haven’t already, follow me on Instagram. I posted all of them there. My Author Facebook Page is still inactive until I have books 2 and 3 closer to completion. 🙂
Now I’m not a fan of Vegas as a whole, it is called Sin City for a reason, but the warmer weather, awesome Air Force Base, and the great visit with our son has made our time here worth it. As will my parents visit in January. I still don’t know if I’ll ever come back, but it’s not off the rotation yet. And one more thing I have to admit, the people we met and dealt with on the strip and in the casinos weren’t that crazy. In fact, most were pretty friendly. They were just there enjoying the massive amounts of sparkly, headache inducing lights like us. Although, I’m sure a few of them had headaches for other reasons. 😉
Thanks for following my adventures! I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas! And keep in touch, I’d love to hear about your adventures too!
