I’m alive! The pig didn’t eat me!
Okay, I might be over-playing it a bit here, but he was a BIG pig, and he was following us. Although, in all fairness to the pig, we did go hunting for him first.
One of the things we’ve had fun with this winter is finding the little extras each military base we’ve stayed at has. Like this really cool equestrian center at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX. It’s made my time away from my lakes more enjoyable. But this too has come to an end. At least for the summer.
So goodbye, over-fed pig, and hello new adventure.
Next week we will be putting our 5th wheel in storage, loading up our truck and our son’s car, then towing him back to Wyoming. Austin, TX is a wee bit too pricey for this young college student, and he misses his friends. But we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to turn this move into a visiting vacation, so that’s what we have done. We’ll be stopping in CO to see my parents, then on to WY to see my husband’s mom and extended family there (plus friends at both), then hopping on a plane and heading off to Oregon to see my husband’s dad and stepmom.
This is one more reason we like this lifestyle. We both work from home, so as long as we have our computers with us, and have internet connection (even if that means using our hotspots if we can’t find a connection to mooch off of) we can go anywhere at any time. With some pretty detailed and creative planning first, of course.
So this is how our summer is going to start, and the next part is just as good so stay tuned for that. Those adventures will be in the next blog post.
I hope you all have some wonderful things planned for your summer too. And I’d love to hear about them so send me a message if you’d like to share. And if you’re at any of these places and would like to see us, let me know.
Thanks for reading! Much love from me and the pig!
Lisa
