Okay, maybe it’s not an actual pet, but we did name it, and we do talk to it, so it counts. What is Chili you ask? A Carolina Reaper Pepper plant. You know, those peppers that no one in their right mind would eat. Yep, one of those—my husband’s favorite. And for those of you who might not know, I’m allergic to peppers, as in they make my throat close up. Needless to say, I’m not the one who actually plays with this new pet. But Chili makes my husband happy, and we’re both already attached to the little poison producer, so it’s our mission to keep it alive—no small feat for two people who don’t have green thumbs.
