The Tale Of Two Fishes: And why they were on our camper floor.

Lisa L. Tallabas, Author Posted on August 2, 2017 by lisaltallabas@gmail.comJune 2, 2020

It all started two years ago with a goldfish and a goldfish bowl. After many purchases, many goldfish funerals, a month’s stay at a friend’s house because we closed on our house early, a cross-country road trip in our camper’s bathtub, a week-long pit stop … Continue reading →

Conquering Our Phobias: What is mine?

Lisa L. Tallabas, Author Posted on July 23, 2017 by lisaltallabas@gmail.comJune 2, 2020

Small spaces, as in being confined in them, which was tested twice recently. First at The Royal Gorge Bridge and Park where I got on a gondola with my husband and son to travel over the magnificent gorge. Now you would think it would have … Continue reading →

Our Wild Neighbors! Who Were They?

Lisa L. Tallabas, Author Posted on July 16, 2017 by lisaltallabas@gmail.comJune 2, 2020

I was going to write a long blog post about the wild neighbors we had during our stay on F.E Warren AFB like Woody the Woodpecker, who would grace us with his noisy presence every evening unless the weather was bad. The Chippendales, a horde of … Continue reading →

What kind of neighbors do you have when this is your backyard?

Lisa L. Tallabas, Author Posted on July 5, 2017 by lisaltallabas@gmail.comJune 2, 2020

Well, so far we’ve had a wonderful couple invite us over for a picnic table dinner. An entire Softball Team. (I’m not exaggerating here.) A retired Naval Officer and his wife. (There’s a lot of retirees in this lifestyle.) A full-timing dog rescuer with 6 … Continue reading →

What do a one-legged peacock and a bearded dragon have in common?

Lisa L. Tallabas, Author Posted on June 16, 2017 by lisaltallabas@gmail.comJune 2, 2020

They were both rescued from bad circumstances and are currently living happily-ever-after at the Austin Zoo, which we visited last week on the first of our two moving trips. Along with this incredibly friendly turtle, and many others just like them. Now I have mixed feelings … Continue reading →

Am I Crazy?

Lisa L. Tallabas, Author Posted on June 1, 2017 by lisaltallabas@gmail.comMay 24, 2020

I’m 41. A wife. A mother. A writer. And now a full-time RVer living in this, The Hilton, as some of our camping friends so lovingly coined it many years ago when it was in much better shape—by choice, no less.  Am I crazy? Maybe, … Continue reading →

The Sign Fairy

Lisa L. Tallabas, Author Posted on May 10, 2017 by lisaltallabas@gmail.comJune 2, 2020

How can a small, battered For Sale sign have a story attached to it? Well, if you know my OCD tendencies, and my daughter’s special gift with cars, then you should have no problem believing there is one attached to this one. Keep reading to … Continue reading →

Co-Winky-Dinks? I think not!

Lisa L. Tallabas, Author Posted on May 4, 2017 by lisaltallabas@gmail.comJune 2, 2020

How did our house sell in under ten hours before there was even ink on our listing contract? (Besides having an amazing agent, Bonnie Berry, of course.) And who are the fortunate people who just happened to land at our doorstep in the perfect position … Continue reading →

Lisa L. Tallabas writes fast-paced, action-packed fantasy and sci-fi novels where good vs evil conflicts are told with a heavy dose of humor, an electric mix of military/civilian antics, and a touch of romance.

She pens these novels as she travels and lives on the open road: beside lakes, in the middle of forests, next to oceans, and on military bases.

When she’s not in her 5th Wheel creating new worlds, she’s out enjoying the magnificent one she resides in with her husband. They love to fish, hike, paddleboard, mountain bike, site-see, workout, and animal watch.

Oh, and she loves sugar, anything made with sugar.
